Got some XRP, no fuss

Just decided to buy some XRP on Luno. It was pretty easy, just a few clicks in the app. No weird verification holdups or anything. My XRP was in my wallet fast. Overall a pretty chill experience.

Consistent and reliable platform

I've been using Luno for a while now, mostly for smaller buys of Ethereum and occasionally some Bitcoin. This latest purchase of Cardano was just as smooth as my previous ones. The instant buy feature works well, and I always appreciate how quickly funds reflect. I've tried a few other platforms but keep coming back to Luno because it's just so consistent. Never had an issue with withdrawals either, which is a big plus for me. It's a dependable service.

Good for Bitcoin buys

I used Luno to buy some Bitcoin for the first time. The sign-up process was pretty straightforward, although verification took about a day, which was a little longer than I expected. Once that was done, buying Bitcoin with my bank transfer was easy enough. The app interface felt clean and easy to navigate. I liked that they had a 'learning portal' too, which was helpful since I'm new to crypto. The transaction went through without any hitches, and the Bitcoin showed up in my wallet quickly. Overall, a solid platform for getting into crypto.

Good value for my first crypto

I was looking to finally buy some crypto and Luno popped up. I found a sign-up offer that gave me some free Bitcoin after my first purchase, which was a nice bonus. I bought $100 of Ethereum. The fees seemed reasonable compared to some other places I checked out. It felt like I got good value for my money, especially with the extra Bitcoin. The process was quick enough and I felt like I made a smart choice for my budget.

So easy to use

Wow, buying Solana on Luno was unbelievably simple! I heard about it from a friend and decided to try it out. The app is so user-friendly, I just followed the steps and bought some with no stress at all. The whole process was fast, and my crypto was there instantly. Definitely going to use it again for other coins. Highly recommend for anyone starting out!

How do withdrawals work on Luno? Like, can I send money straight to my bank account from there?

T Troy 1 month ago
Yeah, you can withdraw directly to your linked bank account. Super easy.

You can absolutely withdraw money directly to your bank account. You just link your account, initiate the withdrawal, and it usually takes a business day or two to process and show up.

Is Luno regulated? Just wondering about the legitimacy of the exchange before I put money into it.

S Shane 2 months ago
Yes, they are. They operate in a bunch of different countries and follow regulations there.

N Nina 2 months ago
Luno is definitely regulated in the jurisdictions where they operate. They have licenses in various countries which adds to their legitimacy. Not some wild west exchange.

Hey, thinking about signing up for Luno. Saw something about free Bitcoin for new users. Is that still a thing and how much do you usually get?

C Carly 2 months ago
Yeah, it's definitely still a thing. I got like $10 worth when I signed up last year after my first purchase. It's usually around that amount.

They often have those new user rewards. I think it's usually between $10 and $25 in Bitcoin if you make a qualifying purchase. You just gotta make sure to apply the referral code in the Rewards section.

Thinking of moving some funds from my bank to Luno. Are instant bank transfers supported, or is it going to take a few days?

T Tom Brooks 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually support instant bank transfers, so it should hit pretty quick.

It depends on your bank sometimes, but Luno generally supports instant bank transfers for deposits. Mine usually show up within minutes.

Anyone know how long it takes to actually get verified on Luno? Just started the process and wondering if it's gonna be a long wait.

C Cody 2 months ago
Mine was pretty quick, like a day or two max. Just make sure all your docs are clear.

It can vary a bit. I heard some people get through in hours, others a few days. Just depends on their volume I guess. Keep an eye on your email for updates.

Considering Luno but also looking at Coinbase. Any thoughts on how they compare, like for beginners?

N Nick 2 months ago
Luno is super easy to use, especially for just buying and holding. Coinbase has more options but can feel a bit much at first.
6
B Brett Carter 2 months ago
I've used both. Luno feels a bit more straightforward for buying and basic trading. Coinbase has a wider selection of coins and some more advanced features if you get into that.

Can I use a referral code after I've already created my account? Forgot to put one in when I first signed up.

R Rosa Beaumont 2 months ago
Nope, sadly not. You usually have to put it in when you're signing up or very early on.

M Mark 2 months ago
I think you need to apply it pretty much during sign-up or right after, in the 'Rewards' section before you make your first deposit/trade. Afaik, once you've done a transaction, it's too late for that specific bonus.

What's the deal with multi-sig wallets on Luno? Is that something I can set up for extra security?

R Rachel 2 months ago
Luno uses multi-sig for their own cold storage, so your funds are protected by it, but it's not something you directly control as a user for your personal wallet on the app.
1
C Carly Marsh 2 months ago
Their platform itself uses multi-sig for security, especially for their cold storage of customer funds. As a user, you get a secure wallet, but you're not setting up a personal multi-sig wallet within the app itself.
